Prowall Construction was contracted to construct a retaining wall for a large commercial development, situated in the car park to retain the neighbouring car yard. Despite this project's strict 3-week deadline, it presented significant challenges from the outset. The unexpected discovery of two existing underground car parks required us to use our larger machine and rock breaker and drill through old footings. Careful planning was crucial to avoid hitting the groundwater table and causing pier holes to collapse. Additionally, we had to coordinate the removal, decommissioning, and demolition of an existing light pole. These challenges demanded swift action to set the walls while ensuring the site's safety and functionality.
